How it fits together
Everything posts to one ledger
An invoice, a bill, a bank transaction, a stock adjustment — each one lands in the same double-entry ledger the moment it happens. That’s why the dashboard, the bank, and the reports never disagree.
You work
Send an invoice, pay a bill, confirm a bank transaction.
It posts
Every action becomes a balanced ledger entry, automatically.
You know
Cash, profit, and what to do next — current, and in plain English.
Morning to month-end
The month closes because the mornings did
Four ordinary moments. Each one takes minutes because the one before it already did the bookkeeping.
8:40 AM
Coffee and the bank feed
Six transactions arrived overnight, named and pre-sorted. Yesterday’s card payout already matched its invoice. You confirm the batch in four taps — the books are current before the first email.
12:15 PM
An invoice over lunch
The morning’s job wrapped, so the invoice goes out before you forget: customer, three line items, tax handled per line, send. It posts to the ledger the moment it leaves. Nothing to copy anywhere later.
Friday, 3:00 PM
The bills, before they bite
One list shows what’s due in the next seven days, sorted by date. You schedule two payments and apply a vendor credit against a third. Nothing overdue, because nothing slipped past the list.
Month-end
The close that isn’t a project
Reconciliation walks the statement to a $0.00 difference in minutes, because every day already agreed. Nobody “runs” the P&L; it was already true. Lock the period, and it stays locked.
FAQs
Before you dig in
Free ($0) covers 20 a month of each kind of record — invoices, bills, expenses and the rest — plus real reports, with bank statements you upload as CSVs. Standard ($29/mo) lifts the limits and adds automatic read-only bank feeds, sales tax, inventory with cost of goods, and purchase orders for up to 3 users. Pro ($59/mo) adds up to 10 users, roles and permissions, multiple locations, and advanced inventory. Every plan — Free included — carries the same double-entry ledger and the same free accountant access.
Yes. Each account gets one Pro trial, starting when you create your first company. Other companies you create during that trial share the same end date. When the trial ends, each company moves to Free unless you choose a paid plan for it. Companies created after your trial ends start on Free. Your history, contacts, and reports stay available. Each company chooses its own plan and is billed separately.
Invite them from settings and they get their own free login on any plan — no shared passwords, no extra seat to pay for. They see full double-entry books with an audit trail and can pull statements themselves.
Import customers, vendors, items, invoices, and bills from separate CSV/XLSX files, mapping columns to the supported fields for each record type. Bank transaction import also accepts .qbo files, which contain bank or credit-card activity only. A .qbo file is not a complete QuickBooks company export. Review each preview and import result, then reconcile balances. File import is free on every plan, including Free.
Payroll, CRM, project management, and tax filing. Each belongs to a specialist tool, and bolting them on shallowly is how the accounting underneath starts to rot. Bokeping keeps the books, and leaves the rest to the tools built for it.
